Invitation

The gate on Headley Heath looked like an invitation to go for a walk.   As I had driven through the Surrey lanes I had been pleased to see blackthorn and blossom, and even some green leaves, real signs of spring. However, I couldn't take up the invitation to walk as I was on my way to an appointment, so maybe another day. In fact the weather wasn't brilliant, with a cold wind and intermittent showers. 
I was on my way for a six monthly hospital check-up, and was relieved to hear that all test results were good. Thank goodness for the NHS!
