Hellebores in full flower

It's not long ago that I commented about our hellebores. They have not done well for the last few years, in contrast to the seedlings we gave to Margret next door. Well, they must have heard me and are out to prove me wrong. They are splendid. We have several different colours because they have cross pollinated.

Today has seen Mum able to walk gently with her trolley. Her knee is improving.

The loss adjuster came. He was cheerful and loud (Mum's comment). Yes, the water damage is bad. Yes, we need our claim to be met. The whole kitchen floor has to be lifted and replaced. Once it is lifted we will see the damage below. The fitted wardrobes in Mum's bedroom have to come out and be replaced. The paper will be removed from the wall and the plaster made good.

Deep, calm breaths while we work out how to live in the house while all this is done.
