Ice Ice Baby

Evening all,

now i don't mind it being a bit on the chilly side, but really when you find yourself so cold you're heading off to the toilet with a magnifying glass and tweezers because everything has retracted in protest, then i'm sorry, too cold!!

I'd planned to stay in the temperate zone of Sheffield today, but sadly i got summoned to head out to the frozen wastes of Burton and the cusp of the freezing fog that is in the midlands.

There were lots of opportunities to take some shots of the hoar frost on the trees or the crazy ice patterns in the frozen puddles, but the temptation to stop and take a good picture wasn't as strong as the temptation to stay in the balmy 23 degree heated car with the christmas music and the jelly babies.

Finally i braved the cold weather for a five minute photo op with a dying star and a bit of carbon, then i retreated to the safety of the car and the sticky comfort of the confectionery.

"you see those jelly babies...."
