Signs of spring...
My walk was around campus today, without the baby or the puppy, which is sort of sad, but there were signs of spring everywhere. At least 9 red ear turtles were out at the duck pond sunning themselves, the yellow crocus were out, and the other bulbs, including daffodils, tulips, hyacinths and crocus of other colors are pushing there way up thru the ground. The buds on the trees are swelling up and there were robins (the fat, robust american ones) everywhere. It was delightful, if still a bit chilly. I had no idea turtles would be out when the temperature is only around 60F.
Later the baby and her momma came by and said hi, so I got to see her after all. She has learned to wave and now says hi and bye with a big whole arm wave.
Today, I am grateful for the day I was given, the signs of spring, especially the glorious yellow orange of the crocus, baby waves and warmth, from the sun, my jacket and my bath. Being able to be warm when I want is such a blessing.
