Almost fifty years of Lego collecting are coming to an end. Soon some of these sets may be finding another home. They have given much pleasure.

In 2008 figures were published which showed that 2.16 million bricks were made every hour. Over the fifty years up to that date 400 billion bricks had been made. It was claimed that there were 62 bricks for every person on earth.
