Wongs .....

This is the only decent place open at this time of year in our little village .... and sadly they will be closing on Saturday for the winter! Wongs has been in Baddeck since the 1960's apparently, and i have to say, it is a lovely place to have some good Chinese food! Tonight was our last meal there till next spring!

It's been a busy few days around here! Yesterday we had the Christmas market in the village and it was a huge success. For the first 1 1/2 hours the hall was packed and people were shopping! I sold lots of pots and chatted with old friends for the 3 hours we were open! I love this little place i have found my home in....there are people here that i only see at the market on wednesdays, but they hug me like i'm one of their most cherished friends! A truly delightfully warm, sincere and down to earth place to be! We had a vendors pot luck lunch after the market closed, lovely to sit and chat with everyone!

I also got confirmation of the order i've been waiting for....100 mugs by the 22nd December! I will also make about 24 other mugs to fill the kiln. so, i began today! It's a tight schedule but i'm always up for a challenge!
