Fungus

I know next to nothing about fungi, but when I spotted this on a log yesterday morning, I knew it had to be my blip. Then the woodpecker and cardinal "twofer" stole the blip honors, and the fungus took a back burner, but only for one day. Today it gets the limelight in my journal. I know there are some blippers who are experts in fungi. I'm hoping someone can ID this speciment for us.
