Early buzzing.
My Tuesday customer keeps bees and they currently have two hives in their orchard, both of which were active today. These little ladies are fascinating, I could watch for ages. This time of year can be testing for them, warm enough to start foraging but not much food to collect so they can expend without collecting reserves.
I did something I've never done before, plant a mixed rural hedge along one of their boundaries, it was strangely satisfying seeing a line of whips and canes knowing, one day, it will be hedge.
After work we were able to walk the boys between rain showers before a went to my guitar lesson.
