Rough puppy

We went to visit our pal Dick Holden today. He fell in his elevator shaft at age 90 and broke 3 vertebrae in his back and shattered his shoulder. He called 911 as he was alone when it happened. He has had back surgery and a full shoulder replacement. Still talking about a big crab feast this summer to celebrate his recovery. A strong remarkable man. I do not see many of his qualities in young people today. Maybe the survivor genes are fading away. In any event I am thrilled to see him doing so much better and talking about what he wants to do when he gets home.
