In The Family

AW and I went to town to get some inner supports for his left shoes because one leg appears to be slightly shorter than the other.  The shoe shop was established in Breda about 300 years ago and the original family are still the owners.  Of the youngest generation, each son is managing his own shop, and there are shops in other towns as well.  In the shop we visited, the family tree can be seen on a prominent wall.  Fabulous!

A rainy day so not much 'carnivalling' outside in town, but the bars were thick with revellers.  We went home straight away.

It has actually been a nice week.  The Tudor MOOC is more than 2/3 done, such an exciting time it was, and dangerous, too.  AW can't work much in the garden now because it's wet, but whenever it clears, he's out, looking at what has sprouted.  There are also plants inside, seedlings and saplings of all kinds.
