Sounds of spring

I listened to three woodpeckers hammering to each other this morning, as well as two curlews calling as they dropped into the fields.  It's all sounding very spring-like despite the mankiness of the weather today.

This little visitor was snoring softly outside the front door as we left the house.  I'd be lying if I said I could hear him but I'm sure he probably was.
