OWL AWOL

What a most wonderful door, at Lea Gardens, Shetland.

This was the last day of access to the gardens where the Tengmalm's Owl has been roosting recently. Well, it wasn't roosting there today either, so we are Owl-less. The rest of the birdwatching has been pretty good, never having visited here so early in the year, and the weather has been hot sunshine and bitter winds. You just need to place yourself!

We have several more days to hope the Tengmalm's Owl is found elsewhere, but if not, we've had a good trip anyway.
