Day 13: Lights
Really enjoying the photo challenge so far. Lots of interesting inspiration around this time of year.
Stubbed my poorly toes getting in the shower this morning. My tummy did a flip as I gritted my teeth, trying to do my deep breaths I learned for labour.
Another bitterly cold start -6°c but we didn't have anywhere to go so after the school run we were able to stay home wrapping pressies & writing cards.
I showed L her portable North Pole video. I wasnt expecting much response but she was totally enchanted. Talking back the the red fella and smiling about being called a good girl. I do like the magic of Christmas when kids are little.
Later we taxi'd it to the docs for Ms eat infection only to have to listen to some thoughtless knobbas chatting freely about how the adults pretend Santa is real for the sake of the kids. Never mind my 3 that are sat there listening to all that! Didn't help that one of the ladies kids was being really rough with L. I was secretly pleased to see how her big sisters stood guard without causing trouble but acted as a ring of protection. I know kids will be kids and mine are far from perfect buying your going to shatter the excitement of Xmas for all the kids in the doctors surgery, you could at least remove your child from the personal space of mine before she self combusts.
Taxi bogged off while we were still waiting for our prescription so had to order a other and just about made it home in time for bean on toast before they were out the door again for the last Xmas performance.
J was working till late so after the kids were in bed and grandad had gone home I set about making some Xmas gifts for the girls. They function, but they look terrible. I'm praying the girls never let them leave the house lol!
All in all a busy but satisfying day.
