After my failed attempt at giving blood a couple of weeks ago due to a recent stomach bug, I was booked in to donate today. It wasn't an easy donation this time- my veins were hiding and when they eventually did get one, it bruised immediately causing the blood flow to slow right down; which resulted in the nurse twisting the needle round to try and get it flowing again, ow! I have a pretty looking bruise already! It's still more than worth it.
