World Book Day

A couple of years after we married (in 1979) we moved away from both sets of parents. Consequently, our boys never lived near to grandparents but as they grew up they soon cottoned on to the fact that their paternal grandparents were receptive to all news of success , huge & not quite so  huge.  More often than not a cheque would follow in the post, such generous souls they are.
So I've printed off the above photo from today and one of Maggie being awarded "Star of the Week" at her preschool. I'll post them off to her GREATgranparents (now aged 92 & 88) and see what happens!!!!  
Mercenary or what?
