Guarding the next generation?

The warm weather has stimulated the earliest frog spawning for many years. While many clumps of spawn have already been laid, the ponds are still full of courting couples, as well as a number of singletons . This one seemed to be guarding its spawn, though it's probably just a coincidence! I don't think amphibians make very devoted parents...
