Far from the madding crowds
A lazy day today. The breakfast buffet has to be seen to be believed. As well as breads, cheeses, cold meats, eggs cooked every way you can think of, sausages, baked beans, cereals and salads, there is every type of fresh fruit on offer. Best of all are the prunes, or apricots, in their juice with star anise, cinnamon and oranges. Delicious! Excellent with natural yoghurt!
We decided on a morning of swimming and reading in the sun. Unfortunately I have discovered that I can't see the screen on my Kindle in the sun, so I wrote lots of postcards instead, between swims. The pool is heated and lovely, up on the roof top with palm tree tops around it! And only a few other folk using it! It really is a great time to come, the summer season only starts on 14th March, so it is not too busy at all.
A wander round the busy little village this afternoon, but it seemed a bit intrusive to take photos. We are high up on the hillside, there are lots of tiny terraced plots full of vegetables and fruits and grape vines everywhere.
It really is a lovely spot, but you need good hips and knees for all the steep ups and downs!
