Crato

Next stop Crato. Its raining. Kind Mr P is dragging two suitcases into the hotel while I stop to take a quick blip.The building was founded in 1356 as a monastry. It was damaged by an earthquake in 1755 and a storm in 1897. Declared a national monument in 1910 and restored in the 1940s. It was turned into a hotel in the 1990s. Part of the building is a museum.
