airport smugness

sitting in lusaka airport feeling pretty smug. there's no free wifi and you can't even buy any internet time so i'm on the internet on my phone and bluetoothing it across to my mac. smug.

today was a bit more crazy than it should have been. my relaxing morning was interrupted when a kaniki student wanted me to take his picture for it to appear on the book that he is writing. even, though he did some pretty silly poses (which he took highly seriously), i managed to get a fairly normal shot.

then we heard that there were riots in town because a somalian had shot his employer. pure panic that we wouldn't make it to the airport in time. people here have a tendency to go crazy at the slightest prompting. thankfully we got to the airport in plenty of time.
