Soup-er Thursda... Wait a minute!

Soup-er Thursday, this week, for one week only, moved to Friday.

Which is just as well, as it was my turn (again!)... and it gave me one extra evening of not even thinking about it.

So, last night was a frantic trip to the shops for a 'couple' of vital ingredients (read "all the" vital ingredients); before slaving over a hot stove for a couple of hours.

The result was a yellow split-pea and sweet potato soup. And some cheese scone stars - served with (the hero!) homemade ginger and chili jam.

The Wonder Dog (guarding the door) looked like he was keen to get amongst it. Until he got bored of the time it took to heat up the soup on a camping stove!

(Soup-er Thursdays... We decided to express ourselves through the medium of soup - one pot at a time. So, we're taking it in turns to bring in a pot. The board table (and portable camping stove) is the kitchen. Today was the fifth week of the second round! And my turn.)
