Amaryllis Apple Blossom

A beautiful bright splash of colour in the window, on an awful dull, dismal, wet day!
One of the bulbs I bought from Fentongollan Farm,Cornwall.
Since I planted it a few weeks ago, it has been growing like Jack's beanstalk!
Now just flowering in time for Christmas.
The flower looks even better that the photo on the packet. So I am very pleased.

Not a good day for a funeral, but that is where we have been today.
A very dear friend of my husband's late Aunt. She was 91, and lived most of her life in the same village. Known by many people as "Auntie Alice".A much loved lady.
Always happy and cheerful and full of fun.
She was one of 5 ladies, who were all widows, (MrC's Aunt included ) and used to go on holiday together.
Nicknamed the Old Spice Girls! In their late 80's they were still having fun!
Now only one left.
