Festive Fireplace

Our fireplace is filled with red and gold.
No fire's burning, as in days of old,
But flame-shades sparkle, so we feel less cold.

The Christmas tree and other decorations aren't going up till nearer 25th, but the fireplace is looking more festive now. Busy cleaning and tidying before seasonal decorating ... one way to keep warm! That said, we've had heavy rain today, whose cloud-cover has raised the temperatures a little. So - a case of swings and roundabouts - not as pretty to look at, but we're not freezing!
