Lunch on the ferry home

A terrific night out. A and I had a good room only minutes from the Italian restaurant for the pre theatre meal and The King’s Theatre to see Mathew Bourne’s production of Swan Lake. Loved it all.

Up at 7.00 to catch the 8.30 bus from Glasgow to make the 12.00 ferry home, nicely timed for lunch on board, macaroni cheese and chips, it was very good! Mind you, Johns mum had a saying ‘ hungers a sharp thorn’. The photo shows a near empty restaurant on the ferry, not a busy crossing, although a tad bumpy at times, home before the ‘weather’ arrives? The people who work on the ferry live on board on two week shifts with full board, what a happy crew we had today, in fact on two occasions when uncertain of which direction to take when in Glasgow centre somebody offered to help, and when looking for coins to nip into the ladies a guy came along and let us in. Friendly people everywhere, a great couple days away.
