when a man wants to saw ….

Anniemay; “You said you weren’t going to do anymore DIY”

Me; “Yes, but …”

I’m feeling pretty pleased with myself.  I had a problem and I solved it the only way I know how; with a saw and a screwdriver.  My crime?  Building some wooden shelving to fit inside our storage container, so that we can actually find things.

“We are meant to be downsizing; you’ve just replaced the garage with a container.”

She tells Chris and points to the pile of sawdust on the garage floor.  

“When a man wants to saw,”  he says, “you have to let him saw.  Like an eagle. Ha ha ha.” 

“That’s quite good,” she tells me afterwards, “for Chris.”
