Abstract Thursday: Tiles

(Blipped on Friday, 8th)

Wow. The day was non-stop! Some time was lost spent finding car parts which can arrive at a UK address in time for them to be carried out by my blipping friend KarenC! I didn't have much success.

We went to Awana as usual and the kids were OK. We have two smart alecs but fortunately, the other kids aren't trying to emulate them. Yet.

I had a brainwave whilst waiting for the lesson to finish. I've been waiting for a special weekend promo from the RAK hole in the wall for ages, and they decided to run it this weekend, to tie in with International Women's Day. We have something on in the middle of the day on all three days, so I suggested to race up there after Awana as they are open till midnight!

Glad we did it as it has left the rest of the weekend free. We got home at 1am; not too bad. SweetArt can now have some champagne for her big birthday! :)

My blip is of the floor tiles in the hotel where Awana is held. I'd noticed the bright colours and sheen several weeks ago. I had two members of staff approach me to ask what I was doing! Thankfully, the explanation of "I am capturing your beautiful mosaic tiles" was enough to satisfy their curiosity.
