Catch a breath back blip

This female cardinal flew hard into the window. She got herself together enough to land on this trellis. I thought it was a deadly act but after quite a while she managed to fly off. I have things hanging in front of the windows to let the birds know not to fly that way but once in a while they do anyway. Most of the time it is because a hawk is shopping the feeders for a meal. I guess they have to survive also but I'd rather they dine elsewhere!
