Sunshine and showers

A very typical early spring day.
Sunshine and showers, some heavy, and a blustery cold wind.
I got caught in a heavy shower going for the paper this morning. Got wet just going from the car and into the shop.
By afternoon it had cleared up and we how have clouds racing across a blue sky, with intermittent sunshine.
Would be quite pleasant if it wasn’t for the bitterly cold wind.

The pond has now filled up, but is very muddy.
A couple of Canada geese have taken up residence, but some of the ducks have left.
None of the duck houses have been put back and there is nowhere for the ducks to nest, so I don’t think there will be any little ducklings this year.
It looks so bare with no reeds, irises,or vegetation, and no willow tree in the centre, although that will grow back in summer.

By the way I did get fined for driving in the bus lane.
£30 if paid within 14 days. So did it on line straightaway.
I did think it might be more.
I will certainly be more careful in future!
