International stars
I’ve had a wonderful day at Crufts. I went straight to the Arena about 9.30 to be sure of a seat.
I so enjoyed the Agility for the little dogs. They were amazing. The speed of these tinies ! (Have a look at the flying dog in my extra)
International Junior Handling followed, with the young handlers, some as young as 12, who were showing dogs they’d only been allocated today. Skill. And they had to return later with a dog they’d known less than an hour.
But the highlight, as ever, is the International Heelwork to Music, Freestyle. For their fifth year, Emmy and Hero represented Denmark.
Emmy is a great blipper, with her journal, The Hazyland Boys, and it is a delight to read about the training, skill and patience with her three wonderful dogs.
Hero had a new routine this year and he performed magnificently. The audience in the Arena loved them and the applause was terrific.
I was lucky to catch a few minutes with Emmy before she headed for her ferry.
Thank you for a wonderful day.
