Inverurie: Rainy Evening

Rain set in today, turning the compacted snow in our Banchory office car park to an extremely slippery ice sheet by late morning.

This is the view out of the window on the way downstairs as I headed out of my Inverurie office this evening, as continued heavy rain during the day started to wash away much of the snow that's been covering the ground here for the past couple of weeks - but adding to the threat of more treacherous ice tonight and tomorrow if the temperature once again falls below zero overnight.

The duckboards in the foreground are part of te fire escape from our part of the building - note the printed warning not to step directly on the roof in the event of an evacuation!
