Blossoming

I had to be up and out quite early this morning as I had an appointment to have my nails done at the salon in Hove.  We had a few things to do as well, so Alan came with me and went to a cafe for a coffee and a croissant while I was at the salon.  With going to Dubai I had my toes done as well as my hands, and was shocked when I came to pay and was told it was £55!  The last time I was there which was only a few months ago, it was £36, so that's quite an increase - let's hope they don't chip!

After meeting back up with Alan, we had a stroll along the seafront, but it was very blustery so we gave up and headed to George Street.  I've been wanting to get a bird feeding station to put in the front garden, and Robert Dyas had one in their shop window that was reduced by 50%, so we went and bought it.  We have lots of wrens that seem to nest in our conifer hedge at the front so I'm hoping that they're attracted by it.

We then had to go to the station as Alan's got meetings in London on Monday and Tuesday next week, so he wanted to go and get his ticket, and on the way home we had a few more errands including dropping off two bags of clothes to the charity shop.  While we were out, it was nice to see all the blossom on the trees, and it was only when I uploaded my images that I noticed the honey bee, I love it when that happens as it's two for the price of one.

Alan installed the bird station so I can see it through the living room window, and then he mowed the grass for the first time.  Tonight we're going to Alison's 50th birthday party, so we're just chilling for a couple of hours before we need to get ready.

I had an email this afternoon from the BBC to tell me that they'd chosen my image of the waves that I blipped on Thursday as part of England's Big Picture which you can see here.

Hope you're all having a good weekend!
