A wedding on the funny side of life

Each ten years a traditional wedding take place during carnival season in Bergen, a small town in Bavaria, close to lake Chiemsee.

It´s a funny public performance, where quite different people (like a very small man and a strong woman) play the bride and bridegroom. The whole town is involved as neighbors, family, landlord, pastor, mayor, poor and rich people, ... They all wear old fashion stuff. There are some music corps and it ends in a big party.

This festival is know since 1886, when the first miners started.
