Colour Contrast

Low sun created a wonderful contrast between the yellow/orange reeds and the cool blue shadows behind them. There's even a hint of colour in the cast shadows from the reeds onto the snow. Controlling the highlights was a little tricky given the extremely bright sun reflecting off the snow.

I like the chaotic pattern created by the reeds and the way they all lean to the right indicating the prevailing wind. It makes me think of falling like dominoes, or being chased by something perhaps.

A high of 35F shows promise of winter finally coming to an end, the snow on the road melting at last and turning to slush.
