Bar-Tailed Godwit

I've been celebrating birthdays today - no, not mine :) It involved purple coloured cake (see extra) and, consequently, purple coloured lips! 

On the way home, I made a little detour to the harbour. It was very cold and windy, and a little damp, so this photo was taken from inside my car with the window down. I was pleased to get a sharp in flight shot in the fading light, so it had to be my blip!
