Stripes Before a Storm

It was a lot sunnier today than you might think from this photo! I did have a good walk.

The Extra is my son, Treekeeper, who is kindly pruning our crepe myrtle. It was beginning to attack the incoming wires, and was just too thick and gangly. Treekeeper stands up there easier than the rest of do on the flat. In less than an hour he had the tree thinned and topped, with the branches all packed up in the truck. I swear, the tree looks happier after its haircut--the breezes can come through and it can breathe again. I also like seeing the magnolia in its early bloom, and the ever-popular palm trees across the street. You can see that the sun really did come out!
