The beloved...

Osprey have returned. I am always filled with hope when I see them return to the nest. Our single osprey has not returned yet. For the past 2 years he has been alone as his mate died after being tangled in rope and other debris. For a few weeks he had a female working on the nest but she did not stay long. We saw 3 occupied nest this evening and I heard they returned on the 8th of March. I feel like we have made it through another winter now.
