Cookies, cookies and more cookies!

I promised the kids at work that this Friday I would bring in gingerbread cookies and they could decorate them with icing.

That was very, very ambitious of me (But what is a person without their ambition?).

So this morning Melanie and I set out to make 90 cookies and 16 bags of icing. It took 3 hours, countless cookies tried and failed, flour on everything including ourselves and 30 min late to work but we did it.
We walked into my classroom as if we were heroes trudging home from a hard fought battle with dough and cookie cut outs. My students cheered for us. I swear there was music in the back ground.

These are some lovely cookies decorated by one of my students. Always remember when your hard work is appreciated because there will be moments when it's not, and that will cut your self worth like a knife.
