'Fiona Boyes - St. Andrews Hotel'

Another brilliant afternoon of music up at St. Andrews today. The one and only Fiona Boyes playing solo for the afternoon gig and then again tonight with her full band including a special guest appearance from Phil Manning. The music will be cookin' tonight, might have to pop back up to have another look.

Here is Fiona a couple of years back in America at Jorma Kaukonan's Fur Peacce Ranch where she and Geoff Achison were invited to run blues guitar clinics by the man himself.

Fiona is definately one of our best ever fingerpickers and blues artists and has even been compared to Memphis Minnie by the legendary Pinetop Perkins.

I've been following Fiona's career for about 15 or so years now and try to never miss one of her gigs when she is in our area.

She always wears a huge smile while she plays and you can just tell she's having a great time playing.

Thanks for the music Fiona, you're a true Aussie legend.
