Looking Up

If it wasn't for all the snow on the ground it might start feeling like spring soon.  Temps going up for the rest of the week.  And then down a bit but the overall trend is up.  Not to say we couldn't get more snow storms, but I'll take a day like today any time.  

Very productive day here, voted in our local election, mailed/returned a package I'd been meaning to since December but didn't have an address.  I opened a dispute on PayPal and sure enough I got an address.  Then cleaned out some of the clutter in the garage taking things to the transfer station.  

Our Fire Department has asked for funding for a new fire station - it didn't quite make it last year, hoping they get it approved today.  It's an all-volunteer department.  If the EMTs and paramedics are called and any transport is free.  They are a dedicated group who all have regular jobs.  The current fire station doesn't have adequate facilities to store the trucks (apparently they've gotten a lot bigger over the years) or to shower after a fire.  We have used their services for emergency medical help and ambulance rides when my mom lived with us and they were always quick and efficient.  Fingers crossed.
