Old office
Today we drove a long way from Upper Moutere to Arthurs Pass, driving on as many alternative roads as possible. We went past Reefton, what a great little place, and took the Nelson Creek Road to Arthur’s Pass.
The blip really is of my old office. I’m 1998 I worked as the secretary at the Otira Viaduct site, and lived at Arthur’s Pass for 5 months. So the portacabin offices we’re just before the viaduct site. One of my duties was to deliver smoko to the men working on the piers at 9am every day.
It was an eye opening experience, including all the highs and lows of working at an extremely dangerous construction project.
