Mimosa

Last year the cold and the snow of February and March killed a lot of the mimosa trees on Poggio al Piano. This year what survived last year’s bitter cold has managed to flower profusely and there is a lot of small plants at the foot of the old trees, which is great! Have a look at the extra, please. Somebody must have cut some of the dead trees and on one of the trunks on the ground I found a pretty lichen! :-)

I know for some of you this week is proving difficult. All I can say is that I’m thinking of you and hoping that things will get better soon!
