Stoves and Snow

Today was memorable for two things, one long-term and one short.
The long term event is that our woodburner is finally in place, and looks lovely. In fact it looks like it belonged there all the time, but we just didn't notice.  We can't actually light it yet because the sweep has to come and test that the whole system is sound, via some sort of pressure test. Once he has signed our certificate we can load up 2 kilos of wood and get going. We are still reorganising the room around this new feature and when that is done I'll blip the new stove.
The short term happening was a glorious sunny day and unlike yesterday there was no wind. So cross-country skiing today involved light clothing and standing in the sun enjoying the warmth.
