The sign on the gate reads 'no access to the pier without valid tickets'. Today there was no access without wellies.  

A wasted morning due to circumstances beyond my control. Again. 

At lunchtime the postman brought a package containing 180 prints. That's 2 each of 90 photos (family snaps). A few good, lots mediocre and and some which are ok as a record of the moment. Somehow they seemed better on my laptop screen. By the time I'd sorted them into two sets and tried to put them in date order it was mid afternoon. 

A walk to Waterhead was the easiest and probably the driest option.
