Not so very long ago I had the fun of reading “Conclave” by Robert Harris, in which the same group of people are continually herded back and forth in and out of the same room to vote on the same thing over and over again until eventually they reach an agreement, or die in the attempt.

Of course the one thing that particular group will never be asked to vote upon is a divorce, or the terms thereof.
