Mario and led strip lightning

I’ve been asked to create lightning effects for the school musical. There’s going to be a scene that takes place during a thunderstorm and the idea is to light up the entire theatre with lightning. I’m using the led strips I built during the Christmas vacation and today I started programming the effect. It’s already looking great I think. Of course it’s not really possible to show the effect in a photo, but I did create a video that shows this Mario figure being lit up by the flickering lightning effect.
