Hebridean Heaven and other plans...
Didn't sleep well last night and typically fell into a deep sleep just before it was time to get up! Decided to re-set the alarm to 9.30am and slept soundly till then.
I actually woke up dreaming I was clinging to a surf board in the middle of a calm ocean but the wind was picking up and waves on the ocean were getting higher and higher and I knew I wouldn't be able to cling onto the board for much longer. It was so real, it was a relief to wake up. I think Storm Gareth has had a deeper effect on me than I realised! :-))
Shut myself in the study all afternoon to get some household admin done. I could have done it sitting in the garden room with my feet up but I get always feel more focused and get so much more work done when I sit at my desk.
Once the boring stuff was out of the way, I turned my attention to the good stuff; planning the food for Saturday night (making my second ever attempt at a pavlova. Hope it turns out as well as the first time I made it) and planning our holiday to Stornoway in September.
There are so many places I want to photograph, on the journey as well as when we get to Lewis, so my thoughts turned to routes, ferry crossings, overnight stays on Skye, accessibly of beaches and other sites, and Harris gin distillery to name a few.
I then turned my attention to getting a weekend get together sorted with this lot!
As we are scattered all over Scotland and busy people, it's never easy to find a weekend that suits us all. Despite suggesting dates in March, April, May and June, there was only one date that suited the majority (28th April) Sadly Marie can't make it as she will be in Arran but we can FaceTime :-))
So now that that's sorted, I can turn my mind to other plans :D
