on the herding of cats

I was asked at work to do a group photo of the staff around the Christmas tree. Now, whoever installed the Christmas tree didn't have this in mind as it was in probably the worst lighting location in the building. This was an alignment shot - probably better than the group photo - at least no-one's moving, looking out the window, blinking, asleep,... in this one.

Never mind - no-one will notice the noise from the high ISO and sharpening - or the liberal cutting and pasting of smiling heads. Hope I've attached them to the right bodies.

This afternoon was the works Christmas dinner/party at the George & Dragon in Elsworth and very good it was too - much better than last year's venue with it's rather laggardly service.
