Oldest and dearest pal's (she is on the right of this shot) birthday today on 12.12.12. She invited a crew of us round for drinks and a buffet to celebrate the momentous date. Lovely evening, slightly tinged as her Dad is very unwell at the moment. As an honourary second daughter, I was very lucky to be invited to go on annual camping holidays with her and her Mum and Dad, spending many weeks visiting France, Holland, Austria and Germany. They exposed me to countries and cultures and lots of exciting adventures which, without their kindness, I would never have had the opportunity to experience.
