It's a long wait.
"Looks like we aren't going to get any free fish today."
"No, and I 've been waiting for ages. I could do with a fish supper just now."
"Those turnstones are lucky. They can look for tasty morsels under the stones but we need something more substantial."
"Well, I guess we'll have to go fishing ourselves as the fishermen must be having time off."
Port Seton Harbour was looking colourful in the sun with the dark clouds beyond. There was much evidence of the recent powerful high tides with large rocks and boulders strewn over the local seashore path. Turnstones were delighting in the crashing waves on the sand while oystercatchers were trying to see who could stand the longest on the breakwater as waves crashed over them. Meanwhile on a tall building nearby we had seen a peregrine falcon feasting.
