On fire

The sunset was a sight to behold this evening! Friday, thank goodness, and payday which makes it even better.
Luke had just arrived to help us to lift another 2 ceiling boards.
Unfortunately he got called back into town for a house fire just before we lifted the second board.
This meant that it came close to not making it up in one piece as Michael and I pushed the boundaries in trying to lift the 4 metre long board between us.
I’m always amazed we haven’t killed each other in the process of lifting ceiling boards. Michael is a perfectionist so cuts it to the exact size with no room to manoeuvre it at all. Add the size of the board, the height it’s being lifted to and my non-existent upper body strength and you have a recipe for disaster!
And yet we have successfully (and with much swearing) got every board up without breakage, in two houses...
We could almost go into business, if I didn’t hate the job so much :)
