Not quite as it seems

Several Blippers will know exactly where I was when I took this picture this afternoon. They will also know that - idyllic as it looks, with the blue sky, calm sea, sunshine and shadows - it was very, very cold and extremely windy. We soon returned to the car and went for fish and chips in North Shields.

Three hours of the poetry of Thomas Hardy this morning - brilliant. 

Gordon watched a student climate strike rally in Newcastle. He was impressed. He quoted some clever placards - 'I've seen brighter Cabinets in IKEA' - incredibly apt at the moment.
